Soap Opera Life

I'm so tired of my life being like a soap opera sometimes--anyone else go through life this way too? My immediate family life is really good right now, but all of the things happening with other family members is total drama, and some of it does affect my life, too. It STINKS!

Yes, Jesus had to deal with this too, but I wish we had more information about how he handled it all emotionally. Even though he was the son of God, he was also the son of man--he experienced all the same emotions we do. There are times in the Bible we know he was impatient with people, cried, was angry, and then on the other end he was loving, had a servant's heart, and gentle. But, how did he handle the negative emotions? Scream,or hold it inside, or lash out verbally or physically, or immediately take it to God in prayer? Just exactly how quickly did he forgive people who hurt him--immediately or did it sometimes take a while to get over.

I don't know, but I do know that He wants to help me with the drama in my life. One of the ways is with the Holy Spirit. If you don't believe in Jesus and all that He did, then you have no idea at just what a wonderful gift the Holy Spirit is. Check out what the fruit of the Holy Spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. It's amazing how when you do your best to live how the Bible tells us and you grow closer to God, that this fruit begins to form in you. Sometimes it's so unbelievable just how much patience, or peace, for example, you can feel in the midst of the drama. It really is awesome!! Thank you God!
